About The New Rose Theatre

Established in 2000, the New Rose is an intergenerational community theatre which produces some of the finest theatrical productions in the Hudson Valley. The theatre's mission is to enrich the community with the performing arts through the presentation of high quality and affordable productions. Artistic director Samuel E. Wright together with our not-for-profit organization Hudson Valley Parents of Performing Students (HVPOPS) and the New Rose Team strive to create an inviting yet unique theatre going experience one will not soon forget. The New Rose offers several productions throughout the year for all ages. Its season consists of plays, both dramatic and comedic, contemporary ballets, musicals, and its own original version of the Nutcracker. Not only does the New Rose host all these productions, it also allows the Hudson Valley Conservatory to produce all of its school productions in its venue. Outside events also take place, ranging from relief benefits to birthday celebrations. A great experience no matter what the occasion, the New Rose Theatre offers the Hudson Valley a Broadway experience in its own backyard.
